On December 1, thousands will gather in downtown Nassau’s Pompey Square for the official tree lighting ceremony, live entertainment, and plenty of shops decked out in dazzling holiday décor. On December 25, from 5 – 8pm, guests of our resort can savor a gourmet Bahamian Christmas Dinner in the elegant Starfish Room, featuring delectable dishes of conch chowder with plantain chips, oven-roasted turkey, glazed ham, pan-fried salmon in white wine butter sauce, Bahamian-style mac and cheese, island-style peas and rice, chocolate chip cheesecake, apple pie à la mode, and so much more. And of course, all are invited to the crown jewel of the holiday season in the Bahamas, Junkanoo, the joyous festival that brings everyone in Nassau out to sing, dance, eat, drink, and marvel at the fantastic procession of floats and performers that fill the streets on both the day after Christmas and New Year’s morning.
