Sip Back in Sandyport

Oct 07, 2017

Sip back, relax, and get into the Caribbean mood while you relax beachside, cocktail in hand. All things in the islands are crafty and authentic — but it is important to make sure you dive right into the Bahamian cocktail pool while visiting Nassau. Check out these local cocktails while visiting Sandyport, and be sure to get the local sip sip (gossip) from the bartender.

1. Order this local fave – The Bahama Mama is a rum cocktail with grenadine, coconut, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Add ice to create a smooth slushy or keep the cocktail as-is.

2. You can’t leave Nassau without trying the Yellow Bird. With a citrus pucker, you can’t have it without one of the best concoctions of the islands...rum!

3. A Goombay Smash isn’t for the faint of heart. A secret family recipe that's both tropical and refreshing, you haven't really had this adult tropical punch if it wasn’t in the Bahamas.
