The Famous Flamingos of the Ardastra Gardens, Zoo, and Conservation Center

May 10, 2022

In the 1950s, Ardastra Gardens became a haven for the endangered Caribbean flamingo. Due to the success of this conservation effort, today, the flamingos are the prime attraction drawing countless spectators to Ardastra every year. In addition to the wildly popular Flamingo Show, visitors will also have the opportunity to observe over 135 other tropical animal species, including macaws, rabbits, box turtles, hedgehogs, Bahamian boas and pygmy boas, dwarf caimans, and many more. The Ardastra Gardens, Zoo, and Conservation Center are open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 10am – 4pm. Private tours are also available Mondays – Thursdays on request. For more details, see the official Ardastra Gardens, Zoo, and Conservation Center website.
